Bloomington Hospital Children's Therapy Clinic provides services for children birth to 17 years of age. Services available include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and social services. The clinic serves approximately 300 children and their families in Monroe County and 8 surrounding counties. Assessment and intervention are available for children with a wide range of diagnoses, including: cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injury, Down Syndrome, and developmental delays. Intervention is based on a multi-disciplinary model that looks to meet all a child's needs through a team approach. Treatment sessions are play-based and parents/caregivers are encouraged to actively participate as part of the team to promote carryover into home, school, and community environments.
